SUNYCDO has several committees that members can join to get more involved with the organization. Take a look at the committees below, and email the coordinator for the committee by click "Join This Committee."

AWARDS COMMITTEE

Coordinate the awards proposal and selection process according to established guidelines. Coordinate the awards ceremony at the conference to recognize members’ programs and activities.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

Develop and facilitate strategy for communicating with members. This includes content, frequency, and vehicles of communications.

CONFERENCE SITE SELECTION COMMITTEE

Work with an outside agency to select future conference sites.

Assist with nominations and elections of board and committee members.

Collaborate with employers to engage with CDO member schools.

Work to promote and encourage diversity, equity and inclusion in SUNY CDO

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Organize professional development programs to serve membership needs. Review professional development grant applications and determine funding allocation.

TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

Determine the technology needs of SUNYCDO and advise the Board. Act as a resource to the organization on technological issues. Work with the conference program chair to meet the conference technology needs.

ETHICS & LEGAL CONCERNS COMMITTEE

Receive concerns/questions from members and formulate policy language to address issues of ethical or legal concern. Act as a legal and ethical watchdog for the organization. Keep membership informed of issues that may impact career services offices.
